Writing, Podcasts & Media

The following is an evolving list of media I’ve been honored to lend my voice and/or words to.

The Holy Hour, anthology: “Sacred integrity in the kiln of the client-companion experience” (Essay)

The Holy Hour: An Anthology on Sex Work, Magic, and the Divine is a multi-media collection of art and writing by sex workers that explores themes of divinity, magical practice and the sacred. I wrote a personal essay, “Sacred Integrity in the Kiln of the Client-Companion Experience” for this beautiful collection featuring pieces from 45 different workers in a variety of formats—poetry, prose, nonfiction essays, flash fiction, photography and collage.

petit mort, inaugural issue: “Shade” (poetic prose)

I was thrilled to be included in Petit Mort’s inaugural edition! It is a print publication for and by SWers; as an ex-magazine editor/writer myself, I stand in strong support of these beautiful humans and what they’re creating. Purchase the first issue, and find my poetic-prose offering on pages 64-65.

Sex Workers Describe a Growing Industry During the Pandemic (article)

In this article on sex work during COVID in Business Insider, I am interviewed alongside my colleagues about how I adapted my offerings for a virtual audience, and how I noticed my clients’ desire for emotional support was the most common thing I encountered.

The Art of the Experience with Amber Délice (podcast)

In this podcast interview w/ Simone and Rara for the 5-9 Podcast, I talk about how to craft meaningful experiences for clients, how to structure extended bookings for connection, and more.

Sex Worker’s Guide to the Galaxy (Podcasts)

I loved being interviewed by Parker Westwood for not one but two of her episodes of The Sex Worker’s Guide to the Galaxy (@SexyGalaxyPod)!

In my first episode with her, we cover curating experiences for clients, dating as a sex worker, and the value of feminine and masculine polarity work in companionship. In my return episode, we talk about boundaries, the value of repair ritual in SW, and having courageous conversations with clients that can deepen connection for all parties.

A Note to Journalists and Reporters:

I’m very open to being featured in articles, podcasts and other media (provided I do not have to show my face for my own safety) on topics related to the sex work industry.

I am incredibly passionate about showing the general “civilian” world how powerful and profound client-provider relationships can be, and I have both the education and lived experience to share eloquently about these realms.

Bonus: I’m also an ex-journalist and editor, so I’m very familiar with the processes of pitching, interviewing, drafts and editing.

Even if you’re a freelance writer sending over a pitch to an editor, feel free to get in touch: deliceamber (at) gmail.

Note: I’m vigilant about my privacy and about hidden biases. I will not appear in any article that covertly or directly disparages the industry or perpetuates toxic beliefs or stigmas.
